Lest You Forget
Yeah, so I have a job. And I've been busy. I had to find a place to live and move in all of that free time when I wasn't working full time. Understandably, so, you've missed a lot. If only I could recount all those undiscussed experiences. Oh, did I mention that there was a hard drive failure a few weeks ago on this server? I guess it's a good thing I didn't write anything, because three weeks worth of data was lost forever. I spent the following three weeks wishing and hoping for a file restore that never happened. Now that I've got that productivity thing going for me, and since it's about time it happened... in following the long standing tradition of rewriting songs as a reminder for friends that Daylight Saving is ending, I present to you this year's fine addition to the collection. It follows the great line of other hits from 2002 (John Mayer), 2003 (Hilary Duff), and 2004 (Hoobastank) (they may be posted or emailed upon request). Here you go, based off of "Collide" by Howie Day...
    The leaves are falling
    The sun's shining through
    You're barely waking
Did we change our clocks at two
    Yeah

    It's just like last year
    Last October Sunday
I worry I'll forget the change
    Once again

    Even the best forget sometimes
Even the wrong times seem they're right
We get one hour from last night
    I somehow find
    One more hour of time

    There's one thing you know
    You make a fine confession
I've found I'm scared to know
    Time's always on your mind

    Even the best forget sometimes
Even the stars forget their lines
One hour back you fall in time
    I somehow find
    One more hour of time

    Wait right there
    You're one hour early
    I'm close behind

    Even the best forget sometimes
Even the wrong times seem they're right
We get one hour from last night
    You finally find
    One more hour of time

    You finally find
    One more hour of time
    You finally find there's
    One more hour of time
